Frequently Asked Questions

Can we just stop by to see the animals?

To ensure a quiet, sensory-safe environment for our scheduled guests and a stress-free home for our animals, all visits are by appointment only. You can schedule your private session through our [Booking Page].

Is the farm wheelchair accessible?

As a working farm, our terrain can be a bit rugged for some wheelchairs, but we are here to help! We are actively working on improving our paths for low-mobility guests. If you use a mobility aid, please contact us before your visit—we’ll do everything we can to help you navigate the farm and ensure you have a wonderful experience.

How can I help if I don't live near Kimball?

There are many ways to grow with us! You can sponsor a resident animal, purchase items from our [Amazon Wishlist], or make a tax-deductible donation. Every "seed" of support helps us maintain this sanctuary.

When will the U-Pick blueberry patch be open?

We’ve been "growing through the grit" since 2024! After a few rough Nebraska winters, we are doubling down by installing low tunnels to help our original 240 plants thrive. This Spring (2026), we’re adding 660 more mature plants. While the "True Harvest" is 2–3 years away, the gates are open for you to see the stages of growth and even lend a helping hand with our new protective tunnels!

WeeShire Mains is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sensory farm dedicated to providing a space to breathe, grow, and connect. Located in the heart of Kimball, Nebraska, we are cultivating resilience—one seed and one snuggle at a time.
