Blueberry U-Pick
Phase One
May 27, 2024, we finished planting 247 blueberry plants. We selected seven varieties that will grow in our zone and made our own soil. We didn't do this alone but are so grateful for all of the volunteers who helped us get the plants unpacked, planted, and the drip irrigation system operational.
Phase Two
The plan and layout are to plant 60+ blueberry plants by spring. This will require many more buckets filled with soil, the drip line extended, and then frost blankets and protection for the roots before winter.
Phase Three
The addition of raspberries and kiwi berries to the south of the blueberry rows. This will require additional extension of the drip system and more soil mixing.
